So, you did it; you finally got Invisalign braces. Mack Orthodontics did a great job, too, didn't they? They are the best for orthodontic treatment in Scott County, IA, and their orthodontists are very nice people too. As you move ahead with your treatment plan, there are some very valuable tips and tricks to know in order to get the most from your Invisalign braces.

Wear Them Consistently

When you can remove your braces, it is easy to forget to put them back in your mouth. Failing to do so causes your teeth to revert to an earlier treatment stage. Don't do that. Wear your aligners consistently and without fail.

Do Not Chew Food While Wearing Your Aligners

Just as it is easy to forget to put your aligners back in your mouth, it is easy to forget to take them out before eating. They are not made to be in your mouth while chewing as the bite force and chewing action can damage them. If you don't want to keep paying for replacement aligners because you damaged the ones you have, find a way to remind yourself to remove them before everything you eat.

Clean Your Aligners When You Brush Your Teeth

Invisalign braces can accumulate sugars and food acids from the foods you eat. This usually happens as a result of putting the braces back in after a meal when and where brushing right away isn't possible. Clean the braces every time you brush.

Change the Aligners as Directed

The orthodontist will provide you with new braces when it's time to switch to the next set. Start wearing the new set as instructed. Throw out the old set so you don't get them mixed up and wear the wrong set.

If You Lose a Liner and Can't Find It, Replace It

If you lose an aligner and can't find it within three days, call the orthodontist for a replacement. Your teeth can quickly devolve to an earlier state as soon as three days without a brace. It will take the orthodontist a day or two to make a new aligner, so the sooner you call Mack Orthodontics the better.

What an amazing place all around. Dr Mack and his team are the best, hands down. My son's regular doctor recommended me over to Dr Mack and I'm so glad she did. My son had a tooth that was stuck straight forward in his gums and he needed it surgically opened to start pulling it down. I got the run around and came across a Dr that told me it'll die, just pull it. Dr Mack said, absolutely not! My son has an expander, top braces, and a healthy tooth being pulled down! I can't thank him and his staff enough. They are truly heaven sent. If you're searching for the best orthodontist, Dr. Mack and his team are it. He will never steer you wrong. All blessing to them. ❤️
